"Do you think everybody there is your friend?" asked Director.
"Now you're mocking me."
"Do you?"
"Of course not."
"Are you friendly to your friends?"
"Yes."
"Are you friendly to your enemies?"
"Enemies?"
"Sure. If they're not your friends then they are either neutrals or enemies. Are there many neutrals there?"
"No. In fact, if there were I think they would be my friends."
"Your friends are your friends. Neutrals are neutral toward your cause. Not to be confused."
"Point taken."
"So when you go back you're friendly toward everyone, enemies included."
"I guess that must be so."
"You don't really know who your enemies are, do you?"
"I don't think they really are enemies, Director. That's too strong a word."
"What are they, partial friends?"
