"It's okay to hurt someone if he will benefit from it."
"Now that's the problematic one. How do you know if he will benefit? Or do you have a separate set of guidelines for that?"
"I do. But it's getting late. Let me tell you about them another time."
"Oh, at least tell me one!"
"Alright. It's okay to hurt someone if that will shock him into stopping to believe something that is hurting him."
"You mean like if he thinks he's oh-so-great and it is costing him friends."
"Sure, something like that."
"What else?"
"Another time."
"Please?"
"Not tonight, Friend."
"Then at least tell me how you know if what someone believes is hurting him."
"I have guidelines for that, too. One of them is that the belief won't let him enjoy himself. Let's talk about the rest the next time we meet."
