"What about my finale? Who is going to pay to come and see it when I've given out the secret?"
"It's one thing to hear about it, another to see it."
"But people will sneak in cameras."
"It's one thing to see it, another to see it in person."
"The set of tricks is going to have a weird feel to it, being backwards and all."
"Hopefully the audience picks up on that."
"You just like the weird for its own sake, don't you?"
"Nope. I'm looking out for those jams, whether they are on or off stage. I've always wondered how the logs feel once they get moving again. I suppose they feel weird at first. What do you think?"
"I suppose they do. But what stops them from getting jammed up on down the river?"
"Hard to say. Maybe nothing."
"So we always need someone like you around?"
"It's good to feel needed," said Director with a smirk.
"Will you consult with me on my next set?"
"I thought that's what I've been doing."
"But we have to keep the magic in it, okay? We can't give everything away."
"I'll make no promises, but I suspect your sort of creativity will pull through in the end."
